Lillian Margarite Burgess

Lillian Margarite "Marge" Burgess, 85, of Owensboro Place, died there Wednesday, August 19, 2009. She was born in Russellville, Kentucky to the late Volney Walker and Jeanette (Traughber) Merriman. She was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Marge enjoyed watching golf, and crossword puzzles. Her husband, Ed "Red" Burgess preceded her in death in 1997, as well as her sisters; Eleanor Aldridge and Helen Taylor, and brothers Bobby and Billy Merriman.

Survivors include a son; Mike (Wanda) Burgess, and a daughter; Beverly Sutton all of Owensboro, and grandchildren; Michael Burgess, Samuel Keith Sutton and Seth Ashby Sutton, and great-grandchildren; Maranda Sutton and Faith Burgess, a sister; Norma Jean Snowden of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in Maple Grove Cemetery in Russellville. Visitation will be Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
