Lillia Mae Gray, who lived her 12 years with joy in her heart, passed away Wednesday, June 18 in Louisville. The daughter of Bradley and Shonda Gray, Lillia was born in Evansville on October 19, 2001. Lillia was an active part of Panther Creek Baptist Church, where she sang solos. Her zest for life was infectious to everyone around her, including those meeting her for the first time who she considered new friends rather than strangers. She loved to play the role of teacher both in school and at home and
was also very fond of knock-knock jokes. Her grandparents Kevin Wayne and Martha Branam passed away before her.
Lillia is survived by her parents, Bradley and Shonda Gray; her brother, Dawson Gray; her grandparents Lloyd W. and Pat Gray; her great-grandmother Mary Helen Gray; her aunt, Lori Potts (Chad); her cousins Jesse Potts and Caleb Potts; along with a host of second cousins, great aunts, and great uncles.
The funeral service for Lillia, officiated by Rev. Eddie Duke, will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service. A service of committal and interment will be at Smithfield Cemetery in Henry County, KY at 3:00 p.m. EDST Sunday.
