Lewis Anthony Peterson

Lewis Anthony Pete Peterson, 76, of 807 Canterbury Drive, passed away November 4, 2007, at his home. Mr. Peterson was born in Manhattan, NY, to the late Antonio Elias and Laura Haines Peterson who had emigrated from Greece. He served in the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper during the Korean War and had worked at Central Bank and Trust before retiring from National City Bank in 1994. Mr. Peterson enjoyed old movies, old music and dancing; he and his wife won many dance competitions. Love is the word used to describe him; love for his wife, love for his family, friends and life.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Mary Pete Peterson; the Repetes, Rhonda Morris and her husband Butch of Scottsville, KY, Kim Lindsey and her husband Joe, Lt. Brock Peterson and his wife Shelly, and Anthony C. Peterson all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Lorie A. Carter, Mikalis Ioakimides, and Britnee Murphy all of Owensboro; great-grandchildren, Jordan Carter and Jontae Carter Green both of Owensboro; a sister Elaine Moreno of Orangeburg, NY and her children, Linda Moreno, John Moreno, Steven Moreno and Laura Moreno; and his wifes family, Ruby Davis, Margaret Hockett and Charles and Francis Moman. Mr. Peterson is also survived by his four legged friend, Queen Leah.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 1 p.m. until time of service on Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
