Leslie Tyler Mulligan, 78, of Owensboro passed away Monday, December 8, 2008 at Owensboro Medical System. Born at home in Sorgho, a son of the late Richard Mulligan and Stella Hundley Mulligan, he graduated from Owensboro Technical High School, worked for Peerless Electronics in Louisville, and for seventeen years was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. A gentle man, he loved animals and enjoyed hunting, gardening, and collecting artifacts. He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his son, Leslie Tyler "Butch" Mulligan, II, and his brothers, Joseph Leo Mulligan, who passed away December 7, 2008, John Sim Mulligan, and Richard Mulligan.
Survivors include his daughters, Debbie Roberts of Philpot and Shannon Mike of Louisville,; his sons, Scott Mulligan and Kevin Mulligan, both of Owensboro; his sister, Dorothy Barker of Las Vegas, NV; his brother, Keith Mulligan of Michigan' 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Services are at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will from 2 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 and after 8:30 a.. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home where prayers will be at 6 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial will be in St. Raphael Cemetery.
