Leonard Mason Huter

Leonard Mason Huter, 89, of Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born February 15, 1919, to the late Archie and Ora Lee Leach Huter in Muhlenberg County. He was retired from Green River Steel, was past president of Local #4959 and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran of WW II and had received a Silver Star and 2 Bronze Stars.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Emma Jean Crawford and Zetta Louise Ramsey.

Survivors include a son, John Raymond Huter of Houston, TX; his daughters, Janice Lynn Snyder of Cadiz and Shyril Johnson of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Phyllis Kelm of Orange Park, FL and Jackie Mitchell of Central City.

Services and visitation will be private. Burial will be in Nelson Creek Cemetery in Muhlenberg County. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
