Leonard Earl Heifner

April 19, 1926 — April 14, 2003

Leonard Heifner, 76, of Pleasant Ridge , died Monday, April 14, 2003 at his home. The Ohio County native was retired from Glenmore Distillery. He was a member of the Bells Run Baptist Church where he was a Trustee; was an Army veteran of World War II serving in the 106th Infantry. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda Faye Braden Heifner; two sons, Tommy Earl Heifner of Hartford and Terry Lee Heifner Pleasant Ridge; six grandchildren, Tommy Earl Heifner, Jr. of Hartford, Dwayne Allen Heifner of Utica, Steven Morris of Central City; Lisa Faye Spicer and Andrea Lee Hall both of Owensboro, and Rechelle Howard of Morgantown ; nine great-grandchildren; a brother James Arthur Heifner of Cadiz; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in the Bells Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M.on Tuesday and after 9 A.M. on Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice of Ohio County or the Bells Run Baptist Church.
