Leo Howard

Leo Howard, 74, of 4734 Springlane Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Whitesville to the late Gerald and Hannah Hamilton Howard. He was of the Catholic faith and retired from National Southwire and Aluminum Co. He was a U. S. Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AmVets, Fraternal Order of Police, and Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed traveling, collecting the new quarters, and Barbequing. He was also preceded in death by his wife Margaret Carolyn Young Howard on Dec. 9, 1996 and a granddaughter, Madalyn Howard on Sept. 16, 2002.

Surviving are two sons, Gerald Leo Howard and Cary Wayne Howard and wife Tracy, all of Owensboro, two grandchildren, Jonathan Howard and Emily Wink, and a brother, Fred Howard and two sisters, Marcella Aud and Amelia Evans, all of Whitesville.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 8:30 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
