Leo Nicholas Collignon

June 5, 1915 — April 17, 2001

Leo N. Collignon, 85, of 4837 Kentucky 81, Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 17, 2001 at the Hermitage Manor. The Daviess County native was born on June 5, 1915. He was the son of Peter and Christina Collignon. His wife, Pauline Matilda Keller Collignon, died in October 2000.

Mr. Collignon was a retired contractor, a member of St. Martin Catholic Church in Rome, and Holy Name Society. He enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Collignon of Owensboro and Paul Collignon, of Philpot; three daughters, Patsy VanMeter and JoAnn Scales, both of Owensboro, and Charlotte Frisby of Shepherdsville; 16 Grandchildren; and 14 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two children, Peter E. Collignon in 1970 and Carol C. Hurm in 1998.

Services are at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Saint Martin Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery. Visitation is from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 until 9:30 a.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, KY 42301, or to the St. Martin Building Fund, 5856 Hwy 81, Owensboro, KY 42301.
