Mrs. Lennie Phillips, 76, of Owensboro died Tuesday, December 6, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro, a daughter of the late James Elmer and Sarah Catherine Pagan Bristow, Mrs. Phillips was of the Catholic faith, served as a cook at the former St. Pius X School, and retired as cook from One Park Place. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards and in her younger years loved fishing.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Edmond Ed Phillips; her sons, Eddie Phillips of Owensboro, Bobby Phillips and his wife Janet of Utica, and Tony Phillips and his wife Sharon of Crawfordsville, Iowa; her grandchildren, Rob Phillips, Sara Phillips, Steve Phillips, and Mike Phillips; her step-grandchildren, Bradly Lorack and Lisa Lorack; her step-great-grandchildren, Jeffery Clark and Chloe Lorack; and her sister, Sue Moya, of Tucson.
Services are at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church, officiated by Father Bryan Roby. Visitation is at Glenn Funeral Home from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 until 9:30 Friday, where prayers will be said at 7:30 Thursday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
