Laura Belle Mayfield

Laura B. Mayfield, age 90, of 2019 East Sixth Street, Owensboro, died Friday, November 19, 2004 .at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born in Utica to the late, Alfred and Eva Talbott Bradfield. She was retired from the Daviess County School System, and worked at Thruston, Daviess County Middle and Daviess County High schools. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Mayfield on September 17, 1992, and two sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Mayfield was a member of Yellow Creek Baptist Church, and the Young At Heart Sunday School class.
She is survived by two sons, Shirley Dean Mayfield and Larry R. Mayfield and wife, Lamone, both of Owensboro, five grandchildren, Laurie Marlowe of Owensboro, Sherry Adams and husband Tom, of Murray, Susan White and husband Chad, of Lewisport, Randall D. Mayfield and wife Deeayne , and Beth Bell and husband Mike, all of Owensboro, two sisters, Florene Hunt and husband Joffrey of Utica, and Hettie Ward of Owensboro, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held, Sunday, November 21, 2004 at 2 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, and after 12 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Yellow Creek Baptist Church Building Fund, and expressed online at www.glennfuneralhome.com.
