Laura Helen Martin

Laura Helen Martin, 61, of the Roosevelt House, 2920 Yale Pl., Owensboro, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at her home. She was born in Daviess Co., Ky. on August 26, 1949 to the late Joseph F. and Willie Cook Jones. She was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family very much spending as much time as she could with them and enjoyed going shopping.

Surviving are her daughters, Lorie Beavin and husband Robert of Owensboro and Vicky Williams and husband Dwain of Charleston, S.C., two grandchildren, Durell Martin of Owensboro and Jessica Martin of Charleston, four sisters, Rose Boyken, Joyce Wilhoyte, and Sheila Jones, all of Owensboro and Louise Weible of Louisville, and a brother, Michael Jones of Louisville.

Services will be 2:30 P.M. Friday, August 3 at the graveside in Brushy Fork Cemetery in Panther with burial following. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
