Larry "Pepaw" White, 62, of Utica passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from injuries suffered in an accident in Charleston, SC. Born in Owensboro on August 15, 1945, Mr. White was the son of the late Thomas and Mary Galloway White; was a truck driver for Truck-It; was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War serving two tours in Vietnam; was a member of the American Legion; and was a KY Colonel. He loved life and enjoyed woodworking, playing the guitar, riding motorcyles; bar-b-queing; being a part of numerous coffee groups at local restaurants and spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James David, and a sister, Bobbie.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Angila "Angel" LaDean White; children, Robby White, Tim Arnold, Diane and George Sosh, Shannon Mijangos, and David Patton all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Scooter, Melissa Kaye, Hunter, Jesse, Bryan, Jessica, Cody and Tyler; a brother, John White of Temple, TX; and his mother and father-in law, Virginia and Jay Skimmerhorn of Ohio County.

Services are 2 P.M. Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Rosehill Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Monday and after 12 noon on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Disabled American Veterans.
