CW3 Larry C. Stallard, 76, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born May 27, 1940 in Clinchco, VA to the late Fred and Ruby Turner Stallard. Larry was retired from the U. S. Army in 1985 as a Chief Warrant Officer after 27 years of service and was very proud of his time he served in the military. Larry was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #696, American Legion Post #9, AmVets, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He had a keen ability to make everyone smile and also enjoyed Nascar racing. Larry had a heart of gold, he could fix anything, and a smile that would light up the room. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Donna Johnson Stallard in 2013, sisters and brothers, Mary Viers, Mildred Davidson, Glenna Branham, Johnny Stallard, and Jerry Stallard.
Surviving are his children, Vickie Locher and husband Jaimie of Owensboro, David C. Stallard and wife Linda of Avondale, AZ, and Aaron J. Stallard of Holyoke, Mass. three grandchildren, Brandon Stallard of Tempe, AZ, Nick Locher of Owensboro, and Madison Stallard of Avondale, a brother, Benny Stallard of Haysi, VA, a sister, Diana Davis of Haysi, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be Noon Saturday, September 3, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with full military honors. Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
