Larry E. Reed

Larry E. Reed, 55, of Wayside Drive West, Owensboro, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born March 6, 1952 to Joe and Alta Wingfield Reed in Daviess County. For 20 years he has worked for the Daviess County Public School System in the maintenance department. He was an avid UK sports fan, loved to fish and could always be found in his garage.

Survivors include his wife of eleven years, Mary Reed; his sons, Jason Reed and his wife, Elsie of Whitesville, and Jeremy Reed of Owensboro; his step-children, Jennifer Case and her husband, Tim of Owensboro and Mark Boone of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Caleb Case, Bailee Heisler, Jacob Heisler, Isaac Reed, Ella Reed and Autumn Reed; his parents, Joe and Alta Reed of Owensboro, a brother, Sherman "Bear" Reed and his wife, Melinda of Owensboro; a sister, Linda Perry and her husband, Fred of Whitesville.

Services will be 10:00 AM Friday at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday and after 9:00 AM Friday at the funeral home.
