Larry Thomas Ranburger, 74, of Owensboro, went to live with his Lord with his wife by his side, on Thursday, August 24, 2017 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born March 31, 1943 in McLean Co. to the late Hershel and Nell Sutton Ranburger. Larry was retired from Peabody Coal Co. in Lynnville, IN and owned and operated R & R Fiberglass Boat Repair for 20 years. He was a member of the United Mine Workers Association Union Local #12 in Boonville, IN and also enjoyed fishing. Larry could do just about anything and was a perfectionist in his work. To his fishing buddies Doc, Ray, and Rick, "Catch a big one for me".
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sheila, his son, Troy Ranburger of Owensboro, his daughter and son-in-law, Sheena and Blake Gonzales of South Lyon, Michigan, his mother-in-law, Marie Downey of Owensboro, who he always called Mom, grandson, who he loved dearly, Dawson O'Donnell of South Lyon, granddaughter, Charell McKinney of Owensboro, stepgranddaughter, Veronica Gonzales of Toledo, Ohio, two brothers, Terry and Gary Ranburger, both of Owensboro, and two sisters, Tonya Kassinger of Bowling Green and Gayle Gross of Henderson.
There will be no visitation or services. Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory are in charge of arrangements.
