Larry S. Fulkerson

Larry S. Fulkerson, 61, of Owensboro, passed away on Monday, June 16, 2014 at his home. He was born on March 26, 1953 in Daviess Co., KY to the late John S. and Helen Sutton Fulkerson. He was retired after 27 years of service as a Surgical Services Equipment Supervisor with Owensboro Daviess Co. Hospital. He was of the Catholic faith and loved spending time with his extended family. He also enjoyed playing various instruments and listening to all types of music, and being outdoors and enjoying nature.

Larry was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Fulkerson, and Doug Fulkerson; three sisters, Norma Medley, Anna Clements, and Mary Kennedy; and two brothers-in-law, Bobby Peters, and Carl Medley.

Survivors include four sisters, Gladys Peters of St. Joseph, Lola Whitesides, Joan (J.L.) Byrne, Sherry (Sam) Holinde all of Owensboro, a sister-in-law, Marilyn Fulkerson of Madisonville, a brother-in-law, Don Clements of Curdsville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be at 11am on Thursday June 19, 2014 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Father Tony Jones will officiate. Burial will be at St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday June 18, 2014 from 4-8pm and from 9-10:15 Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Prayers will be at 7:30pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
