Larry Dale Embry, 54, of 1700 Leitchfield Road, Owensboro, died Monday October 15, 2001 at his home. He was born April 20, 1947 in Ohio County, Kentucky the son of Clemon Embry and Lillie Brooks Cannon.
Mr. Embry worked in the maintenance department of Alcan Aluminum in Sebree for 18 years and was an Army veteran, serving from 1966 to 1968.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Embry and Crystal Embry, both of Owensboro; four grandchildren; his mother, Lillie Brooks Cannon of Beaver Dam; four brothers, Richard Embry, Tommy Embry and Freddie Embry, all of Beaver Dam, and Lawrence Embry of Centertown; two sisters, Joyce Rickard of Sacramento and Rose Hisle of Harrodsburg; and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday October 18, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Reverend Darrel Daugherty. Burial will follow in Cates Cemetery in Whitesville. His family will receive friends at Glenn Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday October 17, 2001 and after noon Thursday.
