Larry Gene Bidwell

Larry Gene Bidwell, 68, of 4508 Remington Way, Owensboro, died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, at his home. He was born in Daviess Co. He was a millwright with the Millwright Union Local #1080 for 16 years. He was also retired from Alcoa Aluminum Co. of America in 1993 after 13 years. He was a 1955 graduate of Owensboro High School, was a member of the Isotopes Model Airplane Club, and enjoyed working on computers, U. K. basketball, and watching Nascar. He had served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his father, Hubert Bidwell and a brother, Danny Ray Bidwell in July of 2003.

Surviving is his wife of 34 years, Brenda Lee Bidwell, his mother, Thelma Vance Anderson of Owensboro, four sons, Jon Mark Bidwell, Scott Nelson Bidwell, Chris M. Bidwell, and Keith Pointer and wife Julia, all of Owensboro, two daughters, Tammy Montgomery and husband Rich of Lexington, Ky. and Lisa Bryant and husband Robert of Owensboro, a brother, Ronald L. Bidwell and wife Patsy of Owensboro, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 9:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
