Landon Ryan Morris

Landon Ryan Morris, 21, passed away on September 16, 2026.

Born on June 6, 2005, Landon lived with an energy and warmth that drew people to him wherever he went. Full of life and naturally welcoming, he never met a stranger. Like his dad, he had an easy way about him that made others feel comfortable, and he was known for always wearing a smile. His wit, great laugh, and hardworking spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Landon was the owner of Morris Excavating LLC and also worked part time for D&S Concrete. He took great pride in his work, and his excavator was his prize possession. That pride reflected the kind of person he was—dedicated, industrious, and deeply connected to the work of his hands.

He found joy in the people and pastimes he loved most. Spending time with Caitlyn meant so much to him, and he embraced nearly anything outdoors. Landon enjoyed riding horses, hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and razors, working on his truck, playing cornhole, playing pool, and boating. He also loved classic country music and was known to be great at karaoke. Some of his happiest times were spent hanging out with his best friends, Madelyn Petri, Evan Stone and Marvin Stone.

Landon’s presence brought people together. Wherever he was, others gathered. He had a rare gift for making life feel lighter and more joyful, and his memory will remain in the laughter, stories, songs, and outdoor places he loved so much.

Landon is preceded in death by a grandmother, Mary Ann Ward; aunt, Beth Morris; and uncle, Michael Ward.

Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Ryan and Heather Morris; siblings, Marybeth and Lane Morris; the love of his life, Caitlyn Cook; grandparents, Danny and Sandy Morris, and Robert Ward; great-grandmother, Carolie Morris; aunts and uncles, Holly Howard (Paul), Chris Morris, Christy Stone, Bobby Ward, Sarah Bullington (Aaron) and Katie Hidenrite (Jansen); cousins, Evan Stone, Kelly Ann Stone, Westyn Stone, Josie Bullington, Jase Bullington, Keegan Duncan, Sutton Hidenrite, Jackson Howard, Collin Howard, Ian Howard and Ella Howard.

The funeral Mass for Landon will be 1 p.m. Monday, September 21, at St. William’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with prayers taking place at 6 p.m., and Monday 12 p.m. until the start of Mass at the church. Burial will follow in St. William’s Cemetery.
