Lagretta Helm "Greta" Pickrell
June 7, 1924 — September 25, 2017
Lagretta Helm "Greta" Pickrell, 93, of Wellington, Florida died peacefully after a brief illness September 25, 2017. She was born to the late Ollie Helm and Bessie Greer Helm on June 7, 1924 in Whitesville, Kentucky. She married the love of her life Roscoe I. Pickrell in 1950 and they were happily married for 52 years before his passing in 2001.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma. Greta always had a smile, a quick wit and loved life. She lived a very blessed life and we were all blessed to share that life with her.
Greta was also preceded in death by her sister, Billie Jean Hibdon and brother, James L. Helm.
Lagretta is survived by her only child, Sheila A. Ahik (Nicholis) of Wellington, FL; three grandchildren, Ross Carter (Jennifer), Matthew Carter (Megan) and Joseph Ahik; three great-grandchildren who called her "GG", Alexa, Zachary and Saige, all of whom she adored; loving sister and brothers, Frances Howard, Gary Helm and Don Helm.
Lagretta will be forever missed, but we take solace that she is in God's arms and rejoined with her love, Roscoe.
The service will be 12 Noon, Saturday, September 30, with visitation after 10 AM, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery.
