L. Jane Simpson

L. Jane Simpson, 68, of 2835 Hillside Dr., Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at her home. She was born on August 24, 1939 in Sandoval, Ill. to the late Orval and Hazel Williams Mason. During her life, she resided in Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky. She was a graduate of Flora High School in Flora, Ill. She was a homemaker who loved doing things for and spending time with her family. She was a very generous, thoughtful, and loving person. She enjoyed shopping, raising flowers, and jewelry. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James O. Simpson on June 13, 2000 and an infant brother and sister.

Surviving are her children, Jana Simpson of Pickerington, Ohio and James A. Simpson and wife Lisa of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Betty Jane Simpson, Teri Lynn Simpson, and Amanda Rose Simpson, and a great grandchild, Molly Le'Anne Simpson, all of Owensboro, three brothers, Rev. Allan Mason of Sandoval, Ill, Neal Mason of Carmi, Ill., and James Mason of McLeansboro, Ill., and two sisters-in-law, Jo Ball and Clara Thomas, both of Salem, Ill.

Services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, May 24, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be after 2:00 P.M. Saturday at the funeral home. On Sunday, there will be visitation after 1:00 P.M. at the graveside at Andreck-McClelland Family Cemetery in Sandoval with a service at 2:00 P.M.. The burial will follow.
