Kimberly R. Campbell

Kimberly R. Campbell, 65, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Parkview Care Center in Evansville. The Ohio County native was born May 1, 1959, to the late Gordon Rhoades and Ethel Bartlett Rhoades. Kimberly graduated from Ohio County High School, class of 1977. She received her beautician license from Jack Myers and opened up her own shop in Hartford called Shear Expressions. Her Uncle “Tookie” and her dad remodeled part of the shop into an apartment for her living quarters. She was an outgoing person who loved to laugh which suited her well for her vocation. Kim was a faithful servant of God who grew up at Barnett’s Creek Baptist Church teaching Sunday school and heading up the WMU, later becoming a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church. Kim was the Girl Scout group leader when her daughter participated in the organization. She enjoyed baking and playing cards with her grandchildren who were the joy of her life. 

 In addition to her parents, Kim also was preceded in death by her sister, Janice Puckett. 

 Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Elizabeth Bartolon (Jon-Michael Cummings); grandchildren, Alina and Ethan Bartolon; sister, Karen Pickerill (Perry), all of Owensboro; uncle, Larry “Tookie” Rhoades; two nephews, a niece, and a multitude of cousins and friends. 

 A memorial funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, November 23 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with same day visitation from 12:00 pm until the time of the service. Burial will be in Barnett's Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
