Kimberly Anne (Pence) Mattingly

Kimberly Anne (Pence) Mattingly, 59, of Knottsville, left this world Tuesday, December 12, 2023, wrapped in the love of her family and friends. She was born August 18, 1964, to Mary Winchell and the late Charles Robert Pence.   Kim was a bartender and cook at Millay’s, graduate of Trinity High School class of 1982 and of the Catholic faith. She was one of a kind and lived her way.  Simply put, she was who she was.  Kim was tough on the outside and soft on the inside.  Always the life of the party, Kim lived every day to the fullest.  She loved her “hill”, Tybee Island, and gathering around the firepit surrounded with family and friends.  Most of all, Kim loved her kids and grandkids and cherished the time spent with them. 

In addition to her father, Kim is preceded in death by her grandparents, Germie and Isabell Winchell and Bob and Charlesetta Pence.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Garrett (Amanda) Mattingly of Knottsville, Issac (Morgan) Mattingly of Maceo; daughter Allie Mattingly of Knottsville; grandchildren, Brayden, Adalynn, Paxton, Alijah, Izaiah, Preston; mother, Mary Pence; sister, Kelley Pence, brother, Kerry (Julie) Pence; beloved nieces and nephews along with a village of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends from all walks of life.

The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Williams Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
