Kimberly S. Lawrence

Kimberly S. Lawrence, 49, of Philpot passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015, at her home. She was born Sept. 6, 1965, to Ron Sweat (Linda) and Suzi Kuegel (David). Kimberly worked at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital as a registered nurse for 20 years and finished her career as a private in-home nurse for a special needs girl. She loved UK basketball, Dr Pepper, sewing, crafting and being outdoors. Kimberly enjoyed supporting her daughter at horse shows, watching CNN and spending time with animals, especially her dog. She loved spending quality time with her daughters.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her grandfather, Daymon Thomas; and a special friend, Doris Miles.

Kimberly is survived by her husband of 26 years, Phillip Lawrence; daughters Rachel and Shaina; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Canon (Joseph); a grandson, Calvin; a grandmother, Fay Thomas; a brother, Ron Sweat Jr. (Michelle); in-laws Judy Woods, Jimmy Lawrence (Karen), John Lawrence (Becky) and Rose Head (David); and an aunt, Sharon Pate (Junior).

Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial follows in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
