Kernel Kenneth Kelly, 59, of Rockport passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at St Mary's Medical Center. Born in St George, Bermuda on May 15, 1953, he was a construction worker and member of the Owensboro Church of Christ. Mr. Kelly served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Rockport American Legion. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Kelly, MSgt, USAF, Retired.

Surviving are his mother, Doris Kelly of Rockport; sons, David Kelly and Matthew Kelly of Lexington; sisters, Kathy (Larry) Banks of Rockport, Katrina Kelly of Rockport; and Karen Bentley of Columbia, MO.; nieces and nephews, Rebecca (Jimmy) Demastus, Rachel (Elijah) Lewis, Katelyn Kelly and Katya Kelly of Rockport, Emma Bentley and Isaac Bentley of Columbia, MO, and Stephen Upchurch of Grand Rapids, MI; and great-nieces and nephews, Jessica, Kelly, Lexi, Aiden, Isabella, and Weston.
