Kenny Garner

Kenny L. Garner, 79, of Owensboro, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at his home, surrounded by family. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Robert L. Garner and Sarah E. Bishop Garner. 

 Kenny retired in 2003. He had spent 35 years working in the lab for National Southwire Aluminum and Century Aluminum. Kenny enjoyed fishing and car shows, but most of all, he loved spending time with family. 

 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Judy Garner.

 Mr. Garner is survived by his wife of 50 years, Nancy Garner; children, Jerry Garner (Becky) of Owensboro, Kim Schmitt (Mike) of Philpot and Jeff Crabtree (Liz) of Owensboro; grandchildren, Burke Garner, Alex Garner (Alley), all of Prestonburg, KY, Bobby Garner, Lindzey Trogdon (Tyson), all of Owensboro, Andrew Schmitt and Emma Schmitt, both of Philpot, and Zack Crabtree (Jodie) of Owensboro; and five great-grandchildren.

 The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, December 10 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, where visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
