Kenneth Alan Zoglmann, 56, completed his earthly journey Tuesday, June 23, 2015 surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gerald Zoglmann, a brother, Lawrence Gale Zoglmann, and his beloved dog Goober.
He is survived by his mother: Shirley (Wink) Zoglmann, a brother: Douglas Scott Zoglmann and his fianc, Sharon Horton; a sister: Sharon Zoglmann Rice, and her husband, Jeff Rice; and a sister: Laura Zoglmann Cavins, and her husband, Brian Cavins; nieces and nephews, Clint Montgomery, Lacey Zoglmann, Britt Gernatt, Brian Cavins, Jr., Shane Cavins, Sherie Cavins, Kensley Cavins, Brianna Cavins, and Paige Cavins; and numerous Wink and Zoglmann aunts, uncles, and cousins. He also leaves behind a canine companion, Heidi, affectionately known as Skunk Dog.
Alan was born and raised in Daviess County. He was a 1976 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School. He spent his entire life in the occupation that he loved, agriculture. He initially farmed with his father and brother operating Kenneth Zoglmann and Sons' Farms, and later, after his father's passing, with his brother , Scott, operating Zoglmann Brother's Farm. He was also a member of the National Corn Growers Association.
A funeral mass will held Friday June 26, 2015 at 10:00am at St. Pius X Catholic Church with Father Tom Buckman officiating, visitation will be Thursday June 25, 2015 from 3:00pm - 8:00pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with prayers at 7:30pm, visitation will continue after 9:00am at St. Pius Friday. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his father, Kenneth, and his brother, Gale.
