Kenneth E. Wilson

Kenneth E. Wilson, 84, of Owensboro, passed away on December 12, 2013 at Heartland Villa Center in Lewisport, Kentucky. He was born in Madisonville, Kentucky to the late Willie Isaac and Ida Irene Wilson.

Mr. Wilson retired from Green River Steel after 35 years of service. He was a longtime member of First Baptist Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen Louise Wilson in 2006; a sister, Wanda Merrick; and a brother, James Wilson.

He is survived by sons, Michael Wilson (Sherry) and Brent Wilson (Alice) both of Owensboro; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; sister, Frances Williams of Madisonville; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be at 10 AM on Monday, December 16 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Dr. Paul Strahan and Rev. Clarence Nemitz will officiate. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 1-6 PM on Sunday and after 9 AM on Monday at the funeral home.
