Kenneth V. "Skeeter" Wilkins, 84, of Highway 431 North, Calhoun, died Wednesday, January 20, 2010 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was a retired Driver for A&H Truck Lines, and was born in Daviess County to the late James Lewis and Almeda (Vincent) Wilkins. He was a WWII Army Veteran, member of AmVets Post # 75, and was of the Baptist Faith. He enjoyed horse racing and sporting events.
Mr. Wilkins' wife Evelyn Ray Wilkins preceded him in death in 1976, as well as 3 brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include his children; Wayne (Sharon) Wilkins, Donald R. (Beverly) Wilkins, Linda Falloway McPhearson, Robert(Marilyn) Wilkins, Darlene (Bill) Massie, Jerry (Lisa) Wilkins, Ronnie (Aleada) Wilkins all of Owensboro, Tommy Wilkins of Utica, and Mike (Sheree) Wilkins of Owensboro, numerous grandchildren and step-grandchildren, and a brother James Wilkins of Owensboro.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2010 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Richard Wedding officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Friday. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Wilkins Family in care of Wayne Wilkins.
