Kenneth Wayne Taylor

Rev. Kenneth Wayne Taylor, 53, entered into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on April 28, 1961 to the late Roy "Ed" and Betty Ann Taylor.

Kenneth was a loving and dedicated husband, father, "Pap", brother, pastor, and friend. He pastored the Ark of Safety Church, assisted at Little Flock Church and ministered in several other states. Kenneth served as a 911 telecommunicator for McLean County, Daviess County Sheriff's Department and Owensboro Police Department for 30 years. He studied art Brescia College and was an avid collector of comic books and related memorabilia.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 28 years, Deborah; daughters, Saundra Kimmel and Amanda Russell; grandchildren, Caleb, Alexia, and Lacey Kimmel; brothers, Roy (Melissa), William, and Tommy (Gretchen) Taylor; sister, Deana Anderson (Randy); and a host of nephews and nieces. Kenneth will also be missed by his 3 beloved dogs.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 7 at Phillips Chapel Worship Assembly, 500 Orchard Street in Owensboro. Rev. Tommy Shutt and Rev. John Brackett will officiate. Burial will be at Green Briar Schoolhouse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 12:00 P.M. Sunday at the church.
