Kenneth Larry Stallings

Kenneth L. Stallings, 66, of Danville, formerly of Owensboro, died Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at the Ephrim-McDowell Hospital in Danville. Mr. Stallings was born February 26, 1938 to the late Cleveland Martin and Mary Frances Stallings. He was retired from Bell South; was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville; and a former member of Immaculate Catholic Church in Owensboro where he was involved in Youth Sports. Mr. Stallings was a former member of the Marine Corps Reserves and 4th Degree Knights of Columbus and was an avid UK basketball fan. He was preceded in death by a brother, Cary Michael Stallings in 1946.

He is survived by his wife , Jan Stallings; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick Stallings of Franklin, Ronnie and Kelly Stallings and Mark and Susan Stallings all of Owensboro; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Mike Marsh of Owensboro; a step-daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Bob Speers of West Virginia; 11 grandchildren; six brothers, Martin Stallings, Edward B. Stallings, Allan Stallings, and Stephen Stallings all of Owensboro, Daniel L. Stallings of Utica, and James Carroll Stallings of Frenchburg, KY; and two sisters, Joyce Wimsatt of Owensboro and Edana McDaniel of Portland, OH.

Funeral services are 1 P.M. Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Immaculate Catholic Church in Owensboro with entombment in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. (EST) on Thursday at Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville, KY with prayers at 7 P.M. (EST). Visitation on Friday will be from 1-8 P.M. (CST) at Glenn Funeral Home with prayers at 6 P.M. and from 9 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Saturday.
