Kenneth Kenny Dale Shown, 74, of Maceo, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at the Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Ohio County, June 25, 1929, Mr. Shown was a retired equipment operator. He was a member of the Maceo Baptist Church; an Army veteran of the Korean War; and lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Mr. Shown enjoyed all sports, especially NASCAR, and the outdoors, camping with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Mabel Hoagland Shown as well as by two sons, William Shown and Ronald Shown, and a brother, Harold Shown.

Mr. Shown is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betty Joann Keelin Shown; four sons, Mike Shown of St. Petersburg, FL, Joseph Shown of Garland, TX, Stephen Shown of Owensboro, and Kevin Shown of Maceo; four daughters, Elaine Miller of Owensboro, Beverly Miller, Brenda Hicks, and Sandra Stinnett all of Maceo; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Hurley of Owensboro, Wanda Snyder of Drakesboro, and Anna Whitehouse of Dyer, IN; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are 10 A.M. Friday, June 11, 2004 with Rev. Scott Ford officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home from 2-8 P.M on Thursday and after 8:30 A.M. on Friday.
