Kenneth Eugene Martin

Kenneth Eugene Martin, 81, of Philpot, KY passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Heartford House. He was born October 17, 1936 to the late Eugene Thomas Martin and Laura Lee Lyons Martin. Kenny was a carpenter, farmer, and an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He loved having family barbeques and get togethers. Kenny worked for Jerry Whitaker as a carpenter for 20 years and he also worked for Jagoe Homes.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Lindsey Martin in 1981.
He is survived by his four brothers, James Randall Martin (Heidi) of Owensboro, Orville Lee Martin of Owensboro, Roger William Martin of Jackson, SC, and Jeffrey Scott Martin (Debbie) of Philpot; his 3 sisters, Marilyn Williams (Clyde) of Owensboro, Nina McIver (Tommy) of Franklin, TN, and Teena Cline (David) of Franklin, KY; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins
The service will be 2PM Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Brian Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Rosehill Elmwood Cemetery will full military rites. The visitation will be 4-8PM Friday and 12 noon until service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Western Kentucky c/o Heartford House.
