Kenneth Irvin Martin

Kenneth Irvin Martin (Kenny), 79, of Owensboro, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 15, 2015. He was born January 12, 1936 in Ohio County to the late Charles and Mary Hazel Martin. He was retired from the Kentucky State Highway Department as a heavy equipment operator.

Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Nell Martin and sister, Phyllis Jean Martin.

Survivors include his son, Richard Dwayne Martin (Kathy); grandson, Richard Dwayne Martin II; granddaughter, Misty Michelle Shepherd (Alan); great-grandchildren, Houston Martin, Kirsten Hagan, Brittany Shepherd, Madison Shepherd, Scott Shepherd; great-great-grandchild, Zaiden Montgomery; two brothers, Charles Martin and Cecil David martin (Judy) all of Owensboro; a sister, Lynda Martin Moore (David) of Central City, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 pm. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, until the time of service at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
