Kenneth Ray Humphrey, 87, of Owensboro, passed away March 3, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Muhlenburg County on August 14, 1930 to the late Ezra Taylor and Francis Fraizer Humphrey. Kenneth was a Marine in the Korean War and retired from Green River Steel after 32 years. He had many hobbies which included hunting, camping, woodworking, knife making, and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Francis Lilliam Humphrey, Mildred Faye Humphrey, and Maebell McDonald Humphrey; brothers, John, Roy, and Bob Humphrey; sisters, Tempest "Jean" Mason, Eva Nell Mason Reese, Glenda Dora Crosby, and Nola F. Humphrey.
Survivors include his children, Jeff Humphrey (Patty), Marty Humphrey (Theresa), and Teresa Jones (Larry); step-son Kenneth Ray Miller and his family; grandchildren, Jeffrey Humphrey (Tenaya), Starla Dean, David Humphrey (Candice), Melissa Humphrey, Brittany Zamora (Manuel), Daniel Humphrey (Megan), and Billy Johnson (Marissa); step grandchildren, Scotty, Christopher, Byron, and Natalie; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zack, Naudaya, Shyne, Alex, Aidan, Austin, Audrie, Trenton, Adysiin, Avalynn, and Aria.
A memorial service will be held 10am Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Christ Chapel at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
