Kenneth P. "Kenny" Clay, 34, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, January7, 2016. He was born in Detroit, Michigan. Kenny graduated from Owensboro High, where he was a member of JROTC, in 2000.
He went on to become a U.S. Army veteran.
Kenny was a talented artist, musician and songwriter who was also a good mechanic and skilled in home improvement. He enjoyed bluegrass music and attending concerts; his record collection was extensive. Kenny was also an animal lover who had several cats and dogs. His friends appreciated his good sense of humor and fun spirit.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Kathryn Pezzeca; grandfather, Bill Speight; and an "adopted grandmother", Edna Duke.
Kenny is survived by his wife of nine years, Jennifer L. Clay; parents, S.W. and Joan Clay; step-son, Chase Kelley, all of Owensboro; sisters, Tina Webb and her husband, Greg, and Jenny Pezzeca; brother, Ron Pezzeca and his wife, Tiffany, all of Michigan; grandmother, Sarah Speight of Owensboro; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
The service will be at 2 PM, Sunday, January 10 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Myke Templeton will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday after 12 Noon at the funeral home. The remains will be interred at Clay Family Cemetery.
