Kelly W. Wheeler

Kelly W. Wheeler, 51, of Owensboro, passed away May 19, 2016 while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. Born December 18, 1964 in Washington, IN to the late Charles Wheeler and Jane Ann Petri, Kelly was a 1983 graduate of Daviess County High School. Kelly served in the Army from 1985-1991 and fought in Desert Storm and was awarded two Bronze Stars. He was most recently an Industrial Maintenance Technician at Lubritech and served as First Vice for AMVETS 119. Kelly also was a member of the American Legion Post 9 and VFW Post 696.

Kelly is survived by his daughters; Angela-Michelle Shafer of Germany and Kaylin Wheeler of Owensboro; brothers, Greg Wheeler and his wife Brandy, Chuck Wheeler; sister, Julie Hill and her husband Butch; step-father, Charles Petri; companion of 3 years, Angie Kotarek and her children, Bryson Kotarek, Landon Katorek, and Jacob Kotarek, his wife Taylor and their child, Parker, all of Owensboro.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the chapel at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
