Katie Lou Spurrier

Katie Lou Spurrier, 59, of Owensboro, passed away on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born on November 28, 1951 in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late Virgil and Hazel Howard Boling. She was a home maker and member of Yelvington Baptist Church. She loved listening to the older country and gospel music, and spending time with her granddaughters. Most all her family always called her "Kate-Kate".

Surviving are her husband of 15 years, Steve Spurrier, a daughter, Kelley (Tommy) Matusz of Owensboro, granddaughters, Ava Rose and Charlize Eileen Matusz, a brother, Gene Boling of Hartford, two sisters, Carolyn Worthington of Panther and Darlene Barnett of Owensboro, and an aunt, Lou Isle of Wolf Point, Montana.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 2, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Providence United Methodist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be after 11:00 A.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
