Katie Mae Hodskins, 7, of Philpot, died December 20, 2016 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County, was a member of St. William Catholic Church and a second grader at Country Heights Elementary School. Katie was a wonderfully fun kid, she loved smiling, had tons of energy, and was a social butterfly with an infectious giggle. She enjoyed playing teacher, doing flips and playing softball. Katie was an outdoorsy girl and would ride on anything with wheels, including her bike, dump trucks, golf carts and four wheelers. She was a picky eater with a big dislike of broccoli and a love of red macaroni, but she could be found often working on crafts and coloring. Katie was one of a kind.
Katie is survived by her parents, Chris and Carrie Morris Hodskins; siblings, Lilli A. Hodskins and William C. Hodskins; grandparents, Paula and Roger Morris and John and Angela Frasier; aunts and uncles, Jason Morris, Waylon and Jessica Morris, Jaime and Karissa Morris and Jessica and Mark Ballard; cousins, Ella Morris, Sadie Morris, Tyler Ballard and Bailey Ballard.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at St. William Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and from 9 a.m until 10:30 on Thursday. Burial will be in St. William Cemetery.
