Kathy L. Wilkey

Kathy L. Wilkey, 60, of Owensboro, passed away November 26, 2016. She was born in Owensboro February 24, 1956. Kathy was a part of the 1st graduating class of Apollo High School. She was a member of Owensboro Christian Church and a retiree of College View Middle School after 17 years of service as a baker and cashier. She loved her CVMS family. Kathy enjoyed the beach and digging for sea shells and shark teeth and had hobbies such as scrapbooking and crocheting. She was generous, loving, and cherished her time with family. Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, William and Betty Lott; granddaughter, Autumn Renee Stratton; twin brother, Kenneth Earl Hatcher Jr.; mother-in-law, Shirley Ann Wilkey and father-in-law, Robert Ray Wilkey.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Stephen R. Wilkey; daughters, Christina McCrady and her fiancé Matt Slater, Melinda Hudson and her husband Lee, Stephanie Wilkey and her boyfriend Perry Green; son, Steven Wilkey and his wife Pamela; grandchildren, Patrick, Amy, Katie, Josh, Lawson, Kevin, Summer, Addison, Michael and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Madison and Xander; sister, Judy Towery Croslin; brothers, Richard Hatcher, Donnie Lott and Troy Lott; uncle and aunt, Tony and Janet Kelly, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm Wednesday and after 10:00am Thursday at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Owensboro Christian Church's Missionary Fund in honor of Kathy Wilkey. Envelopes will be made available at the funeral home.
