Kathy Johnson

Kathy Johnson, 66, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on May 29, 1957 to the late Robert and Merlene Hall. Kathy loved watching her son and nephews race cars. She also enjoyed playing cards (and winning), and hosting cookouts. Most of all, she was a dedicated homemaker and loved spending quality time with her family. Many who met Kathy described her as feisty, she was not afraid to speak her mind. She loved telling jokes and making people laugh.

Kathy was preceded in death by her brother Robert Hall, sister, Sharon Farrar, and granddaughter Courtney Johnson.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 40 years, Larry Johnson; son, Roy (Rhonda) Johnson; daughter, Tina (Dennis) Zoglmann; grandchildren, Cory, Matthew, Andrew, Hannah, Audrey, Peyton, Bayly, Maddie, Neal, Eli; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Brenda (Larry) Emmick, Dianne (Thomas) Harley; brother, Gary (Linda) Hall; and her beloved dog, Molly.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM, Monday, March 18 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
