Kathryn Elizabeth Luttrell Parks of Philpot gained her angel wings on Sunday April 8, 2018. Born October 13, 1939 in Hancock County, Mrs. Parks was the beloved daughter of the late Forrest Lee and Helen Kathryn Nichols Luttrell. Kathryn worked with Audubon Area Senior Companions from which she retired after several years. She enjoyed watching old shows on TV, reading, puzzles, paint-by-numbers, word search, playing Aggravation, cards, and other crafts. More than anything else, she loved spending time with her family.
Mrs. Parks was also preceded in death by her first husband, Julius Quincy Ratliff in 2008; her second husband, Wesley Raymond Parks in 2004; daughter, Terry Lynn Schroader in 2012; brother, James Lee Luttrell, who was killed in Vietnam in 1968.
Those left to cherish her memory include her seven children: Charles Ray Ratliff (Tela), JoAnna Moore (Edbert), Gary Wayne Ratliff (Ivy), David Allen Ratliff, Pamela Ann Landa (Kenneth), Elizabeth Marie Fowler (Randall), and Debra Kay Blankenship (Jeffrey); 13 grandchildren: Crystal Shelton, Robert Moore, Chad Ratliff, Daniel Ratliff, Amanda Turner, Tamara Reed, Joshua Cline, Brittany Belcher, Mikayla Landa, Johnathon and Sarah Hardin, Leah and Megan Fowler; two adopted grandchildren; Nikki Ratliff-Cobb and Jae Blankenship; several step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren; 9 siblings: Joyce Sosh, Frances Parks, Brenda Mauzy (Doug), Larry Luttrell, Dana Walden (Eric), Michael Luttrell (Farris) Donald Luttrell, Dennis Luttrell, and Richard Luttrell; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be noon Wednesday, April 11 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Jerry Tooley officiating preceded by visitation beginning at 9 am. Burial will be in Nickel Ridge Cemetery.
