Katherine Louise Rogers

Katherine Louise Rogers, 79, of 1624 Scherm Rd., Owensboro passed away Saturday, August 30, 2003 at her home. She was born January 16, 1924; married Robert W. Rogers on March 19,1944; was an exceptional homemaker, an employee of the Natural History Association, and a long-standing active member of Wesleyan Heights United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, square dancing, knitting, and the beauty of the outdoors.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Robert Rogers; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joan Mundt of Virginia and Linda and Ray Minton of Owensboro; one son and a daughter-in-law, Larry and Janet Rogers of Michigan; eight grandchildren, Stephen Szefi of Owensboro, Rebekah Brummett of Louisville, Brenton Mundt , Brian Roberts, Tim Roberts, and Andrew Roberts all of Washington State, and Lindsay and Kimberly Rogers of Michigan; three great-grandchildren, Hannah Szefi and Haley and Michael Roberts.

Funeral services will 2:00 p.m.Tuesday, September 2, 2003 at Glenn Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Carter officiating. Burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from1 to 6 p.m.on Monday, September 1, 2003 and after 12:00 p.m.on Tuesday.
