Katherine Christina Morgan

Katherine Christina Morgan, 97, of Owensboro, KY died Sunday, November 29, 2009 at the Carmel Home. She was born in Daviess County to the late Joseph and Julianna Mehling Wink on December 23, 1911. She had worked as a clerk at S.S. Kresge and retired from Murphy Miller as an Inspector. Mrs. Morgan had been a member of St. Stephen Cathedral for over 60 years. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James S. Morgan on January 22, 1956; and her brothers and sister, Simon Wink, Henry Wink, Anthony Wink, Charlie Wink, Ted Wink and Mary Elizabeth Wink.

Survivors include her children, James D. Morgan (Helen) of Louisville, KY, Thelma Louise Hagerman (Dennis) of Owensboro and Mary B. Graf (Joe) of Norfolk, VA; a sister, Frances Routt of Beaver Dam, KY; grandchildren, Mary Chris Holtzinger, Herb Graf, Terry Brownen (Mike), James Douglas Morgan (Andrea), Daniel Morgan (Karen), Jason Morgan (Tonya), David Morgan (Wendy), Tom Morgan, Kristina (Todd) Weber, Trisha Mikesell (Lee), Chris Hagerman (Darlene) and Stephen Hagerman (Janet); and great-grandchildren, Ben Morgan, Kalyb Mikesell, Dalton Mikesell, Jack Morgan, Charlie Morgan, Gena Morgan, Joseph Morgan, Riley Weber, Jeremy Holtzinger, Christina Mae Holtzinger, Trey Graf, Taylor Graf, Caiti Brownen, Mike Brownen, Jacob Hagerman, Alexander Hagerman, and Carrie Anne Hagerman.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. in the chapel of The Carmel Home. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Friday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and after 8:30 a.m. on Saturday at The Carmel Home. Burial will be in Mater Dolorosa

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Stephen Cathedral Building and Grounds Fund or the Carmel Home.
