Katherine Underwood Dubber

Katherine Underwood Dubber, 97, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Hermitage Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on January 20, 1916 in Webster Co., KY to the late Charley Webb and Nettie Ruth Underwood. Katherine worked as a hairdresser for 50 years having owned the former Powder Puff Beauty Shop, then later worked at the Art Beauty Shop. She was a member of Eaton Memorial Baptist Church, the Elizabeth Maglinger Sunday School Class, and the Women's Missionary Union. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Edward Dubber on June 3, 1999, her brothers, Charles Edward, Thomas Jackson, and Estil Earl Underwood, sisters, Laura Elizabeth Underwood and Mable Louise Babb, and a niece, Betty Daniels Simon.

Surviving are nieces and nephews, Linda Dalton Turner, Carmel Dubber Carlisle, and Sheila Dubber Shively, all of Owensboro, Dennis Bartley and Charles Earl Daniels, both of Owensboro, and Howard Dubber of Paducah, a sister-in-law, Jean Dubber of Owensboro, and several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be 12 Noon Wednesday, February 13, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will be private in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the funeral home.
