Katherine De Ronde

Sr. Katherine de Ronde, 90, a sister of the Lamb of God, in her 52nd year of religious life, passed from this world to eternal life on June 2, 2009 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Sr. M. Katherine gave many years of service as a chauffeur and a volunteer driver to the Congregation, and to many people in nursing homes. She volunteered in nursing homes in whatever way she could be of service and was known for her joyful love of people of all ages and she was a member of Victorious Missionaries.
Sr. Mary Katherine was a native of the state of New York, and was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Abram de Ronde.
She is survived by a sister; Sarah "Sue" de Ronde of Ardmore, P.A., and a brother, Louis de Ronde of Edina, M.N.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2009 at Immaculate Catholic Church with Fr. Tony Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday at the home of the order, 2063 Wyandotte Avenue, Owensboro from 5 to 8 p.m. Prayers will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Glenn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Sisters of the Lamb of God mission in Juarez, Mexico, or to the Bishop Soenneker Home.
