Katherine Nash Young Crawford

Katherine Nash Young Crawford, 90, of 2920 Yale Place, Owensboro, died Sunday, November 11, 2007, at her residence. She was born June 7, 1917 to the late Sidney and Louellen Barnett Nash in Daviess County. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, worked as a nurses aid at St. Margaret Hospital in Hammond, IN for 15 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John D. Crawford in 1969, two daughters, Margaret Louise Young in 1939 and Mary Katherine Crawford in 1954, four brothers and six sisters.

Survivors include her sons, Bennett Young, Jr. and his wife, Catherine of Griffith, IN, William Joseph Young and his wife, Nora of Morresville, IN, John D. Crawford, Jr. and his wife, Julia H. of Hillsboro, GA; her daughters, Nancy Carolyn Simpson and her husband, Darrell of Owensboro, Judith Kay Young of Owensboro, Gloria J. Johnson and her husband, James of Bowling Green, Darlene Sue LaRoche and her husband, Delmar of Philpot, Betty Joyce Westmoreland and her husband, Larry of Social Circle, GA, Emma Louellen Wright of Scottsville, KY; 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Virginia N. Miller of Owensboro; a sister-in-law, Idella Nash of Danville, KY.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at First Free Will Baptist Church with burial in Kelly Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and after 10:00 AM Wednesday at the church.
