Katherine E. Burdette, 80, of Owensboro, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, at the Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born February 6, 1928, to the late Zacheriah and Effie McClellan Burdette in Breckinridge County. She retired from GE, was a member of the Breckenridge Street United Methodist Church, and loved being with her family.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack Morris Burdette in November of 1955, and Samuel J. Burdette in November of 1996, a sister, Anna Elizabeth Pate in May of 2002.
Survivors include her son, Joseph Burdette of Owensboro; a granddaughter, Pamela Clark of Ogden, KS.
Services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday, at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the USO.
