Karen Keown Scott

Karen Keown Scott, 61, formerly of Owensboro, died suddenly in a motor vehicle accident on Friday, December 25, 2015. Mrs. Scott was born November 15, 1954 in Daviess County to the late George "Hoppy" Keown and Gladys Mae Hale. Mrs. Scott was loved by many and enjoyed going for walks whenever possible. She had an impressive collection of angels and wind chimes, enjoyed writing in her journal, and was crazy about her dog, Patches. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Jimmy Scott of Madisonville; sons, David and Thomas LaRoche of Madisonville; daughter, Dana LaRoche also of Madisonville; mother, Gladys Mae Keown of Owensboro; sisters, Sharon Chaffin of Philpot and Rhonda Davie of Alabama; brother, Paul Keown of Pleasant Ridge; grandchildren, David and Catherine LaRoche; several nieces and nephews. Service will be at 12:00 pm Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Bro. Chris Whitmer officiating. Interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
