Karen Osborne

Karen Osborne, 65, of Owensboro died at Heartford House on Wednesday, November 20th after a brief illness. Karen was a devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She was a member of Saints Joseph and Paul Parish where she served as a minister of hospitality. A lifelong resident of Owensboro, she graduated from Daviess County High School, Owensboro School of Cosmetology, and Owensboro Business College. Karen worked for over 40 years for Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

 Karen is preceded in death by her parents Bob and Frances Osborne, infant brother Stephen K. Osborne, and sister-in-law Ramona Stroud Osborne. 

 Those left to cherish her memory include her three brothers, Kevin (Carolyn) Osborne of Memphis, Tennessee, Keith Osborne and Kurt (Melissa) Osborne of Owensboro; three sisters, Kathy (Bryan) Hockman of Russellville, Kentucky, Karla (Jay) Bell, and Kellie Pfeiffer (Dean Behnke) of Owensboro; six nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 10:00 am Monday at Saints Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with Father Carl McCarthy presiding. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 pm with prayers at 5:30 pm at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. A private burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. 

Karen requested that, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or Carmel Home, 2501 Old Hartford Rd, Owensboro, Ky 42303.
